I am working with NC fashion learners on the introduction to fashion design...learners are shown how to source images and information related to a given theme, how to draw fashion ideas for garments using a figure template, and then how to create colour illustrations of selected designs...
the theme for this project is fun & humour...learners started off the unit with having a fun & humour day with learners and staff encouraged to come in to college styled/dressed appropriately...this was a great starting activity for the project - it created a lot of discussion and anticipation amongst the learners before and on the day, with most learners making the effort to come in dressed up...the activity allowed the learners to consider how to put garments, colours and accessories together in a considered way to communicate an idea...
